The fund raising efforts continue for the scholarship in honor of
Kinesiology professor Pat Maloy. The scholarship will help incoming University of Michigan students, who have
been touched in some way by cancer, receive a quality Kinesiology education.
The auction consists mainly of sports memorabilia related to current student athletes (donated
through the University) and former Michigan athletes who have donated personal items
for the auction. Most, if not all, of these Michigan sports items have been autographed by the player
or players in question. Other donations are received from members of the general public
who have items they wish to contribute to this cause (not always sports related).
While the majority of these items are related to the University of Michigan they are not limited
to just Michigan items. There are items related to the Detroit Red Wings and the Detroit Tigers.
There are items for auction related to hockey, snow boarding, skate boarding, and there are
even some music related items for sale. The number and type of items for sale changes all
the time so check every once in a while to see what might be available.
